How to share multiple Google Sheets with different Google Groups Using Apps Script

Hi All,

I have a Google Sheet where I've listed all the Google Groups in one Column and in the next Column I have the Google Sheet link that needs to be shared with those Google Groups.

Here is the screenshot for reference:

I need some help here to automate this process.

I was thinking to add a custom menu button that when clicked will automatically share the sheets in Column C to the Google Group Email Addresses mentioned in Column B.

Please help!!

Hi Nabil,

Unfortunately, there is no way to share a sheet with a group currently. Giving the group email address access to the spreadsheet does not give the individual email addresses in that group access to the spreadsheet. You can easily automate the process of sending an email to that group informing them of the spreadsheet, but you would need to make the spreadsheet available to all (not just the group) to allow them to view it.
