ScriptApp.newStateToken().createToken() not returning token

ScriptApp.newStateToken().createToken() is not working properly since yesterday & not returning token. Is there any ongoing issue with it? If not what can be the reasons for it to stop working in a project all of a sudden?

This issue is mainly when trying to get the token from webauthapp. It gives the error - Exception: We're sorry, a server error occurred. Please wait a bit and try again.
