the starting row of the range is too small

I'm creating my first mail merge thru Google Sheets and after creating a draft in my GMail and then going into my Google sheets and clicking on mail merge, send email, and typing in subject line of the GMail draft I'd like to mail merge with, I get Exception: the starting column of the range is too small. The first column is First name, 2nd column is Last Name and the 3rd column is Recipient
