Hi,

I want to create an installable trigger for another user in my organization for a Google sheet for which I have access for the time while writing the script. After the script is working properly I do not have access to the sheet.
Problem arises here, since I am the person who is writing the script, once my editor access is gone the installable trigger stops executing.
Now, I want to impersonate a user within my organization with a domain wide delegated service account and install a time-based trigger programmatically on their behalf.

Is it possible? I really need some answers to this.

Thanks and regards,

Hey Sreenjay

If you could create the script and share it with the user and you continue to control the script - would that work for your use case?

Kind regards,

Mahdi

Best scenario - I control the script but the I should not have access to the google sheet after my work is done. For this I think I need domain wide delegated service account. So the service account has access to the google sheets and it is not bound to any specific automation email id of the company. But the script is with automation.

@Mahdi - If I can share the script with that user that works partially. But I should not have access to google sheet on which the code is running after the automation has been done.

Please tell me if it is possible. If there are any alternatives then also I am happy to take suggestions.

Thanks and regards,
