Is it possible to have Google sheets send bulk emails with interval between messages?

I'm using a spreadsheet to do mail merges, but they send all at once...
I would like to have the emails throttled and sent a specific times, maybe a minute between messages.
The script loops between iterations, so would it be possible to set a delay between sending individual messages?
