Will Spell Check ever be available in Apps Script?

From what I can tell, there is no access to Google Docs' spell check from Apps Script. This is pretty weird because it seems one can access Google's language translation service, but not a spell checker!

I was wondering if anyone knew why there would be this limitation and if there is any plan to address it, some of my work really needs a proper spell checking API.
