Gmail add-on does not show on side panel

Hi,

Our released Gmail add-on does not show on right-side panel of Gmail. Even if the app was marked as installed on marketplace view. Is there any recent change on Google that cause this?

1. The release has been working before, and we did not change anything recently
2. I could not reproduce the issue with the test deployment generated from the same code

I guess the issue is somewhere with Gmail or the Google Cloud project behind. 

Would be grateful if anyone have the solution or can guide me how to contact Google support team

This is a recognized issue with Gmail add-ons.  Here's a methodical technique to diagnosing and resolving the issue:

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Verify Deployment Status:

• Go to Google Workspace Marketplace SDK
• Check if your app shows "Published" status
• Ensure the Gmail add-on scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.addons.current.message.action) is included

2. Clear Gmail Cache:

// Run this in your browser console while in Gmail

localStorage.clear();

sessionStorage.clear();

Then hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R).

3. Check User Access

• The add-on may be disabled for some users:
  • Gmail → Settings (⚙️) → Add-ons → Manage add-ons

4. Domain-Wide Installation Issues

• If this is a Workspace add-on:
• Admins must whitelist the app in:
  • Admin Console → Apps → Google Workspace Marketplace Apps
