Corrupted code?

Hi all - I'm getting desperate ..

I have code that worked fine for 2 years + but now INTERMITTENTLY produces an incorrect outcome.

Prior to sharing the code in question I'll give one example:

I have commented out this line:

//targetSheet.activate();

BUT targetSHEET STILL GETS ACTIVATED!

I have concluded that the script has become corrupted but don't know how to proceed.

If anyone has experienced similar PLEASE ADVISE URGENTLY!
