I don't want Google to keep trying to send an email for 45 more hours.

Is there anyway to stop this?

The error message in an email sent to me:

Delivery incomplete

There was a temporary problem delivering your message to some email here Gmail will retry for 45 more hours. You'll be notified if the delivery fails permanently.
