Hi everyone,
i have a few sheets that do some heavy lifting calculations.
A few months ago i started to notice some lag, and since then every time I open the browser it seems as the document travels back in time to a previous state and starts computing again until it reaches the current state.

Sometimes it takes as long a 40 min to catch up and stop showing the progress bar.

It starts to get really impossible to work with the doc this way.

Has anyone had this problem ?
Any suggestions?

Can you move some of the calculations into Apps Script, so you are only refreshing the values in the sheets when you need to? Presumably a lot of the calculations are in sheet formulas at the moment.

Hi Andrew, thank you for your reply.

Yes, indeed there are many formulas updating and with long arrays as arguments.
I was also considering refactoring everything in a GAS, but there are some calculations that are definitely beyong my apps-script abilites. I use many MMULT and ARRAYFORMULA(VLOOKUPS wich return 2-d arrays.

I was wondering if there was some quirky browser feature that prevented the new state of the sheet being cached or something.
