Hello,

I want my script to be linked to my GCP project instead of default GCP project, but when I put my GCP project number: I have the following message appear :

You cannot switch to a Cloud Platform project in an Apps Script-managed folder.

Why can't I switch GCP project in Apps Script?

Any help appreciated

Hey

Ty but I already tried those steps but I still can't switch GCP project in Apps Script. Also the last commentary talk about move apps script project in another folder but I have no clue how to realise that.

You may need to create a new organization folder in your Google Cloud Platform if you don't already have one, then migrate the new standard GCP project to the organization folder.  I'm not sure what your exact situation is, but you should have an organization folder in your GCP,  and your new standard GCP project should be in the org folder.  If you have a paid Workspace account then you may already have a named organization folder.

The fact is I already have my standard GCP project located in my organization folder, so the migration mentionned in the forum is unavailable for me. Yes indeed it's a paid workspace account

It's difficult to describe how to move the project, but I'll try.  I'm not sure if this is the best way, or if it will work for you.

To move a Google Cloud Platform project from one folder to another follow the steps:

  • Open GCP console - https://console.cloud.google.com/home/dashboard
  • From here there are multiple ways that you can get to the GCP project
  • Click in the drop down list at the top in the header.
  • A dialog box should pop up with all your GCP projects in it.
  • There should be an "Apps Script" folder - Click it
  • A dashboard with recent Apps Script default projects should appear
  • If you see the one you need click on it
  • It will take you back to the dashboard and in the upper left corner, look for a link for "Go to project settings" - Click the link
  • You should see a "Move" button at the top.
