Integrating WhatsApp with AppsScript

I want to know is it possible to build up a script which automatically reads WhatsApp chats, medias and push them to our demanded place accordingly.

If our scripts reads pdf then upload that to our desired drive locations. If it reads chat then store it to the sheets. 

If its possible to create such scripts, please share ideas of how to get start with it. I searched lot of resources but couldn't find any which gives ideas of how apps script is used to read WhatsApp messages.

Not sure! I'd love to know the answer though, especially if the answer is 'yes'.

I think it is possible with some other messaging platforms but not sure about Whatsapp.

A quick search showed that 'The WhatsApp Business API is in limited public preview'.  You could try registering for that and using the FetchApp to make calls to the API.

As noted by Brett the problem you'll find with WhatsApp is as they don't offer a public API so you are reliant on going through 3rd parties, many of which won't be long lived as they will be forced to shut by WhatsApp. Even reputable gateways like Zapier don't currently have a WhatsApp integration .
