How to turn soft returns into hard returns

I'm having issues with my indents. I've been finding soft returns instead of hard returns scattered all over my documents. How to I use script to find and replace them? Instead of going through each line, I'd like to learn how to find and replace the soft returns instead. I'm very new to this, so I'd appreciate if someone carefully helps me with this and the codes! Thanks in advance!
