Text to Speech

Hi folks,

I've been wrestling with this "challenge" for a while now.

All I want is for the text within a cell (in Google sheets) to be said. What I fail to understand is how this can be so easy in Excel and yet so difficult in Google sheets.

Within Excel this is achieved by the line

Application.Speech.Speak TextToSpeak variable

and yet after several weeks and looking at various websites I cannot seem to make any progress.
