New IDE Find (and Replace) across all files in script project

Hi All!

With the looming closure of the old IDE, "This version of the Apps Script editor will be completely turned off by September 2022.", I wonder if anyone has found an alternative to Find & Replace across multiple files? I am aware of being able to manually switch between files but the old IDE listed all of the script project files that contained the string being searched. It is the only feature I've not found ported over to the new IDE, that I used.

I agree.  The previous editor had much better Find, Find-Replace, etc and it was easily available from the menu.  Now you have to right mouse click, scroll down the Command Palette and then fill in what you want to seach for.  Or try to remember all the hot keys.  And especially Find in all files.  That was such a powerful tool for code development and debugging.

There is an advantage with the new IDE over the older IDE for multiple files. Now you can start a debug session in one file and your breakpoints in other files are used to stop execution for debugging. So you can truly debugging across multiple files easily. Old IDE only allowed debugging within one file..

Definitely worth using the new IDE despite reduced search/change functionality.
