How to authenticate Twitter API using OAuth2 with Apps Script?

I'm trying to use Apps Script to follow Twitter users through the Twitter API. However, I need to authenticate using OAuth2 and I'm not sure how to do that in Apps Script. Can anyone provide guidance on how to authenticate Twitter API using OAuth2 with Apps Script?

You basically can't anymore without paying $100 a month because the free API only has write access, it can't read or follow any tweets, even your own.

Authentication is the least of your issues unless you are loaded

Don't know what the status is on free access any more - I haven't looked at since it got musked,  but here was how to authenticate
