Hey all! It has been a while since I was last seen around the GAS forums. Mid last year I took the leap from part-time developer to a full-time developer. The transition was intense, but I feel like I've got my legs back. I hope to be able to dive back into this awesome community and see where we all can help each other out.

Happy Coding,
Spencer

It's nice to hear your news.  It's always interesting to know what people are doing.  With the start of this new group, many of the first people to join seem to be the most involved.  Sounds like you fought through the difficulties, and are still kickin`.  Haha.  Normally, I'd just up-vote a post like yours, but there is no voting here, and it's feels kind of empty to just read your post, do nothing and then move on.

Welcome back Spencer, and I agree with Alan. Google Groups is a step back in useability compared to G+ (and that’s not that easy to say!). Rough mobile experience, no offline, and less engagement/feedback choices. I guess we will all get used to it. Another active community I was with moved to a Discourse group and that has a bit better engagement. Just sayin...

Sounds like you have an interesting tale or two to tell.

Welcome back !! You have always been very helpful for the rest of us

On using Google Groups
- we gain a bit on editor features, like code snippets and other formatting options
- on voting like features, I believe there are advanced settings for that like: "Me Too Topic", "Favorite Reply"
maybe it's a click away to have that as well
