This has really turned into a major irritation.  When I'm running my script in the debugger, every few times, I get the error message in the subject line and I have to exit the script and open it back up again from the connected sheet.  Then it works for a few more times and the same thing.

Some times I can go a long time without it occurring, but then other times it's every other time I run the script.  I see from googling that this isn't just occurring to me, but no real solutions on how to prevent it.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to avoid it?

Can you share a spreadsheet or share the code you are using so that we can troubleshoot it

This doesn't have anything to do with the script, it happens on all scripts and sporadically. It works for a few times, and then fails and then starts working again, without any change to the script. Plus, if you google this error, you'll find I'm not the only one that encounters it, and the only suggestion is to exit the debugging session and start it again, which does always work, but is a PITA.  It's hard to believe someone at google hasn't figured out what is causing this.

I see that message from time to time. However I don't run a huge number of scripts and typically if I leave the function and try later it works.

I haven't been able to discern a pattern I'm afraid.

I too have run across this error. I find that if I clear the cache in my browser.... The problem goes away.
