Multiple Selection in Drop-down Lists

I recently read the article below "How to Make Multiple Selection in Drop-down Lists in Google Sheets". I am trying to create a spreadsheet where I can select more than one school a student has been accepted to.  This is what i want to do: https://spreadsheetpoint.com/multiple-selection-drop-down-google-sheets/ But every step i follow, it wont happen.
