[Google Sites] Where does the uploaded File cabinet files stored?

Hi,

I would like to know where I can find the uploaded files (file cabinet) in Google Sites. Is it stored in a Google Drive folder? If not, is it possible to retrieve the data and store it in Google Drive and use google scripts to retrieve the same?

In New Google Sites embedded (not "uploaded") files are stored in the Drive of the user that embedded the file, but not in any specific place.

There's not much point in developing solutions for Classic Sites as it is being deprecated, unless your goal is to create a process to migrate away from Classic Sites, of course. :-)

We are definitely migrating to New Sites. I just need know if there is away to gather the current information stored in a Classic Site such as the File cabinet using GAS. We just want to ensure that all the data are kept safely and accessible.
