I know this is not part of Apps Script but ...

I use Google Sites (because it is very FREE). I like the improvements they have made recently, especially the fact that we can now change the fonts to look the way we want them to look.

What services do you use or recommend to host your websites?

Not free but only $30/year - I've been a user of Reclaim Hosting*, which offer shared webhosting https://reclaimhosting.com/shared-hosting/

As well as various websites I run they have one click install web applications you can setup https://reclaimhosting.com/applications/ - I use this to run my own RSS Reader with TT-RSS

*Disclosure: spent time with their co-founders and spoken at some of their events - big fan of their work in the EDU sector

Depends on what you're hosting of course. Like Martin, I use reclaim hosting for static wordpress Https://mcpher.com, but use firebase hosting for active sites.
