I have not seen this situation previously. However, I am wondering if this has anything to do with quotas.
Quotas are different for the various services between different account types. Have you tried to remove the service from the script and re-add it back in to activate the new quotas for the account type you now have.
Thanks,
George
I am the sole administrator of a Google Workspace Essentials Starter account. I previously enrolled in Advanced Protection and have since unenrolled. However, all new Apps Script OAuth authorization attempts are now permanently blocked with "This app is blocked" — no bypass option appears.
Key facts:
- Existing scripts (Deal Suite, Agenda, etc.) that were authorized before this issue are still working fine
- Any new script requiring OAuth (Drive, Sheets access) is blocked at the consent screen
- The block affects both bound and standalone scripts
- Advanced Protection is confirmed OFF
- The block persists across multiple new scripts with different OAuth client IDs
- Google Workspace admin console shows no API restrictions
- Removing explicit oauthScopes from appsscript.json did not help
Has anyone experienced this and found a resolution? Is there a way to reset the OAuth authorization state for a Workspace account without Google support access?
