Automatic Thumbnail in Google Sheets cell from Drive urls

I need to insert google drive image URLs in some google sheets cells, then automatically have only the thumbnail in the next cell. Or only thumbnail once I put the URL image from google drive and have the possibility to open the original file on the drive by clicking on the thumbnail.

Is there a way or maybe a script to do that?

Howdy, did you come up with a solution to this challenge? I'm sort of doing the same thing with a project, but I've just started to investigate possibilities.
