Google Admin Audit API: customerId in Json format

Hello,

I'm trying to use the Google Admin Audit API and retrieve the customerId.

https://developers.google.com/google-apps/admin-audit/using#customer-id 

Using the URL specified in the guide, it seems that the output for most of the commands is in JSON, but the output of the actual customerId operation is XML.  Is there any way to force the output for customerID to be in JSON as well?
