API to hide users from the shared contact list

Is it possible to hide selected users from the shared contact list via
API?

Well, there are several ways to retrieve Contact information based on a particular query, but as far as I know, I don't think that there is an API method to add users to the domain's exclusion list: http://code.google.com/apis/contacts/docs/3.0/reference.html#Parameters

I know of no way to hide contacts via the API but you could take a
look at Domain Management Studio from Appogee which achieves a similar
goal by allowing users to set up filtered shared contacts (and domain
users) in an Address Book format. You would need to turn off the
Google Contacts service to ensure users only see what they are
permitted to see.
