Hi,

I am working on one project where I need help very urgently. I have requirement like,

If user send any email from his/her gmail account, the copy of same email should be BCC'd to one email account (i.e. jo...@somedomain.com).

Is there any API provided by google to do this? The users will be registered member of my website and they will be forced to agree that copy of his/her each email will be delivered to particular email address.

Thanks,

Claudio Cherubino

Hi Vatsal,

If you are doing this for lawful purposes in accordance with your Customer Agreement, then you can use the Email Audit API to setup email monitors:

Hi Cherubino,

Thanks for your reply. As per your comment, the process will be completely lawful so that will be fine. Link given by you is really very helpful.

I wanted to know more regarding my question. If the user is not from my domain and he/she registered on my website using his/her gmail account (i.e jo...@gmail.com). In this case is it possible to access his/her gmail inbox? Or is it possible configure his/her gmail account so when ever he/she send email to any one one BCC email will be forwarded to me. Of course, all these will be included in my customer agreement if it's possible to do so in gmail account also.

Thanks,
Vatsal Desai

Hi Vatsal,

The Email Audit API can only be used for Google Apps accounts, not consumer (i.e. gmail.com) ones.

Hi Claudio,

Is it possible that I create one plugin/gadget and install it in my gmail account so when ever I send email to anyone one from my gmail account, BCC of same email will be sent to my another email account automatically.

OR

Is there any setting in my gmail account to do so?

Thanks,
Vatsal Desai

Hi Vatsal,

I don't think that is possible, but it might be worth checking with the Gmail-specific support page:
