Forward without verification

Is there a way to have gam set a forward for an external address without the verification code?

AFAIK the answer is "NO".  Google baked confirmation in at a very low level for good reasons.

The verification can be a bother and 'impossible' in some cases.

For example we forward to a zendesk and there is no way to get the code without going to a group then the group sends it to the address..

Yes, by design.  There is no escape hatch that I can see in the API call.
