Hi folks,

I'd like to be able to change my default newly created group setting 'View Member Email Addresses' from 'Owners of the group, Managers of the group' to 'All members of the group, All organization members' which is the default when creating a group in the web interface.

This would allow my users to accept calendar invites sent to the group without me having to push an extra command. Is this possible?

Thanks,
Wes

Wes,

That setting is not available via the API, thus Gam can't set it.

Wes,

That controls View Members in the admin Console, there is no API access to View Member Email Addresses.

Ah Ross, you are right.  I've messed my original post up.

The 'View Members' option is what I've been referencing the whole time.  If a user can't view members of a group and that group is sent a calendar invite the members of the group none of the members can accept the invite in Calendars.  If I run the following:

gam create group testgroup5

gam update group testgroup5 who_can_view_membership all_in_domain_can_view

This gives me the same functionality of creating a group directly in the Admin Console.  Is there a way for me to combine those commands within gam?

Apologies for the confusion and thanks for the help.

-Wes

Wes,

This should work: gam create group testgroup5 who_can_view_membership all_in_domain_can_view
