Using GAM 4.95
I used the following command to add a forwarding address:

gam user smithj add forwardingaddress greenj

according to:
gam user smithj show forwardingaddresses 

results from the above cmd shows greenj as the forwarding address for smithj

I tried 

gam user smithj info forwardingaddress greenj

this command also states that greenj is a forwarding address for smithj


The issue is, it is not working


When I send a test email to smithj  it is not forwarded to greenj

We are an Education Edition: 
 Premier and Education edition users will not need to verify forwarding addresses that are:

- in their own domain    Both accounts are in the same Domain
- in a subdomain of their own domain
- in a domain alias configured as part of the Google Apps account

Any ideas?

Hi Marian,

You've successfully added the forwarding address but now need to set the forward with the following command:

gam user smithj forward on green keep|archive|delete|markread

I usually use keep fyi

Hi Kit, thanks for your response.  I did try this:

gam user smithj forward greenj keep

Received error message>
Error: greenj is not a vailid argument for "gam >users> forward"

Any help would be appreciated

I have it working now my mistake was not entering the email address for the forwarding address.  I only entered the name.  So it should appear as

gam user smithj forward on gre...@xxxx.com keep
