I would say we have to powerwash at least 10% of Chromebooks each year.
We run a UVR (usage verification report) to be sure students are using the CBs more frequently on the run up to testing to be sure the CBs get the CrOs we're set at and the latest Kiosk Apps/CB settings.
Inevitably, there are some lagging classsrooms or students (remote/Chromebook at home) that require a lot of extra support/powerwash. It is always an issue not matter how proactive we are... but each year we get better, and teachers has pre-test checks to help ID issues ahead of time.
On this topic though, curious if anybody else has a primarily remote school environment... and what you do to monitor internet connection (speed, latency, household overload, wifi signal, etc)?
We pull CrOs signal data and review -70dBm (maybe 60) or worse. Granted this is very much snapshot. Looked at 7Signals and a Cisco solution, but very cost prohibitive.
With state testing coming up, this is a hot topic again.
