Hello,

Hope this email finds you well.

I am trying to empty up a couple of user’s google drive in my domain (clean everything) but my commands do not work.

I could clear the trash successfully using “gam user username empty drivetrash”

But when I try to delete all files from their drive the command doesn’t work. I tried the below:

gam user username delete drivefile all_items

gam user username trash drivefile all_items

gam user username purge drivefile all_items

I get the error:

Drive File/Folder ID: all_items, Trash Failed: Does not exist

What am I doing wrong. Can you please help me here? I want to delete all items from user’s drive and move them to trash.

Harshit,

all_items is an Advanced Gam (https://github.com/taers232c/GAMADV-X) or (https://github.com/taers232c/GAMADV-XTD) option, what version are you using?

Harshit,

Do this: gam version

GAM 4.48.58 - https://github.com/taers232c/GAMADV-X

Ross Scroggs <ross.s...@gmail.com>

Python 2.7.14 64-bit final

google-api-python-client 1.6.4

oauth2client 4.1.2

Darwin-15.6.0-x86_64-i386-64bit x86_64

Path: /Users/admin/Documents/GoogleApps/GAM

You should see something like this if you have Advanced Gam.

Harshit,

That is a very old version that doesn't support the feature you want, you need to upgrade.
After upgrading, do the following to bring your authorizations up to date.
gam update project
gam oauth create
gam user us...@domain.com check serviceaccount

Yes Ross.

Clean up of a different user’s files is a part of the cleanup process for a failed migration of drive from a different domain to our domain.

Harshit,

That is a very old version that doesn't support the feature you want, you need to upgrade.

After upgrading, do the following to bring your authorizations up to date.

gam update project

gam oauth create

gam user us...@domain.com check serviceaccount

Harshit,

You could do something like this:

gam redirect csv ./userfiles.csv user us...@domain.com print filelist all_items fields id,title, owners

Look at userfiles.csv, make sure that you want to delete everything.

gam redirect stdout ./userdelete.lst redirect stderr stdout csv userfiles.csv gam user ~owners.0.emailAddress delete drivefile ~id

Test!
