How can I delete web clips that I now see in my gmail

Recently when I open my Gmail, at the very top of the messages I see a "web clip" for various places like Fool.com Headlines, or ESPN.com.  I don't want to view any of these, can someone explain how I can get rid of this annoying thing?  Would appreciate your help.

This is in no way related to GAM.
