Would it be possible for a gam move drivefile command to create shortcuts to unmovable files the way that a folder move in the UI does it? For various reasons, I would rather script this but the pain of dealing with a pile of leftover files is unattractive. It seems that gam already recurses the tree to adjust all the child objects, so I would think it's possible to add this option.

Failing that, has anyone developed a second-stage pipeline to create copies of or shortcuts to the remaining files?

I have a couple of users (who are leaving) who had big collaborative projects and didn't use shared drives. Now there's a mess of ownerships in the tree, many of them external. Hence the unmovable files.

-Chuck

Chuck,

I apologize, I've been distracted but am now ready to tackle your issue. I want to recreate your situation.
Can we Meet again? In my initial testing I'm getting this message:

User: tests...@rdschool.org, Drive File: RossDoc, Move Failed: Cannot move a file into a shared drive as a writer when the owner of the file and the writer belong to different domains.

Is this what you saw?
