Hello,

I am new to Advanced GAM. We have 2 flavors of License as Business Starter and Business Plus.

When I run the following command for Business Starter users then I get the error Service not applicable/Does not exist

C:\GAMADV-XTD3>gam user user....@domain.com show messages query "list:group...@domain.com" maxtoshow 1 includespamtrash
User: user....@domain.com, Service not applicable/Does not exist

I don't the error when I run the same command for Business Plus user.

Is GAM Advanced not supported for Business Starter users. I am unable to find any document which specifies the Licenses types supported by GAM Advanced.

Medi,

GAM doesn't have any license dependency, the APIs it calls may.
What does this show: gam info user user....@domain.com

Medi,

What do these show:
gam user user....@domain.com show drivesettings
gam user user....@domain.com show gmailprofile

Is this user in an OU where Drive and Gamil are enabled?

Adding to this in case someone stumbles across this in the future. I had the same issue and it turns out the user I was trying to perform the command on was in an OU that had certain features disabled (e.g. 2SV). Drive, Gmail, and all other core services we enabled so I'm not exactly sure what the issue was. However, moving them to the root OU solved the problem for me.
