Using GAM on a Chromebook

Has anyone found a way to use GAM on a Chromebook other than the obvious switching into developer mode and installing a version of Linux to switch to?  Just wondering if this is possible.  I use a Chromebook almost exclusively at work now.  I can do about 99% of what I need with the exception of GAM.  In the end, I may just install Linux on the Chromebook but was hoping there was another work around without having to use developer mode.

Install ssh or mosh on the chromebook and ssh to a linux box where you install gam. If you want to do any sort of automations around gam you need it on a server anyway so things can run even when your laptop is in your luggage.

I've been using a Chromebook (Pixel then a Pixel 2) for the past few years as my primary machine. I develop and run GAM using Secure Shell and SSH into an old PC running Ubuntu under my desk.

I've also always wanted to run GAM on Chrome OS. I fought with NaCl Development Environment for a long time but it never proved stable enough to run GAM. Recently though with Android apps now running on (some) Chromebooks, I've managed to get GNURoot Debian and while it's still not as stable as it could be, I am running GAM on it. Use the ARM or i686 GAM binary rather than messing with getting all the right Python packages installed.
