Hi Gang!

I'm struggling moving my browsers to new OUs with GAM. While I can move them manually in the google admin UI, I can't seem to get GAM to agree on what syntax to use to move the OU.

I can use: "gam info browser BrowserID" -> this shows me all the details of the browser, it will even show me the browsers orgUnitPath.

however for the life of me, I cannot find the correct syntax to move the browser. GAM browser update BrowserID ou/oupath/orgunit/orgunitpath no matter what I put in there, it throws syntax errors. So I give up. What is the correct syntax? Is it even possible to move a browser to a new OU via GAM?

As always, thanks for your insights.

Life saver!

In short, this project was to overcome some tech debt. All my orgs browsers were not sorted, they all existed in one single OU called "managed browsers." I wasn't able to govern browsers easily. I was able to print a list of my users and job titles, then printed a list of all the browsers - then concatenate and vlookup, to arrange my users/jobtitles/browsers and basically duplicated my org's users OU's to the browser OU's and kept everything aligned with the user names/jobtitles.

Now I can allow extensions for some, and block for others. This will also help with reporting, now I just need to figure out how to get this tied into onboarding automations
