Hi Jay and Ross!

Just wanting to raise your attention to the new security groups feature which looks like is only available to enable through the API for now.   Can you expedite the inclusion of it into GAM, please?

Thank you ;)

Warning: A security group cannot be changed back to a Google Group.

So that's concerning.

Will see about adding support for this but we need to approach with caution.

I understand your concerns, Jay.  In addition to this, those API's are Beta. Maybe introduce a beta channel for GAM? I'd use gab as the alias ;)

It's also not as concerning as you may see it.  It's good that you can't turn a security group back into a regular mailing list.

But maybe make users check for content or active use before changing the kind of group?  If you want to introduce some guardrails you could run an automated check for mails sent to this group over the past few weeks.  And if it's returning regular messages repromt the user?

Ross - Sending you an email about this
For the help text prompt for gam update project - instead of asking for "your g suite admin email address" I think it should say something more along the lines of "Please enter an email address authorised to changethe GCP Project <<project-id>>". This email doe not need to be a g suite admin at all. It can be any user from any domain that has access back on the GCP project being used.

Project: gam-project-p0a-1mp-0z1, Update Failed: The caller does not have permission
