Hey Guys - Not sure the solution for this would be GAM, but I can't find any other good way of doing it so I'm starting here. I'm looking to use GDrive to back up our users local computer files. Basically just Desktop, Documents, Favorites, the usual items. I want to know if there's a way I could verify these backups continue to work. When you backup a machine with GDrive for Desktop, it creates a new section in your GDrive called "Computers". Is there a way I could report off of data on that? If a machine is active I would expect to see updates to something on that Drive almost every day? Could I maybe just get a usage report and sort for any machines that haven't had any updates in a few weeks?

In a perfect world, I would get an alert when a machine stops backing up to GDrive. But I would settle for a monthly manual spot check off a report. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Just a thought, but I’m not sure it makes sense to do this.  You’d have to know that a specific file did change and check the date on that file.  As not every file gets updated every day.

If you had an enterprise management system, you could maybe deploy a file that regularly changes and report on the date of that file.

If you could do the above, then it does become possible to script an alert if the date modified of file X in user A’s backup drive is out of date.
