Can GAM Handle 'Read/Unread' Mail Status?

If so can't seem to manage to get anywhere with it.

Basically, just want to change a load of unread emails with certain attributes, but not sure if my syntax is incorrect or if read/unread status is not available

gam user f...@bar.com modify messages removelabel unread query "category:updates label:unread before:2018/12/20" doit

You have to change your query slightly and the label is UNREAD:

1) verify that your query is reasonable

gam user f...@bar.com modify messages removelabel UNREAD query "category:updates is:unread before:2018/12/20"

would try to modify 2 messages for user f...@bar.com.org (max 1)

2) perform action

gam user f...@bar.com modify messages removelabel UNREAD query "category:updates is:unread before:2018/12/20" doit max_to_modify 2
