Is there an easy way using gam or elsewhere (in the admin console?) to find a list of all emails that are bouncing in the groups under a domain?

Story: We recently switched from dreamhost to gsuite / google groups.  There were a number of people getting email via a private domain which forwarded their email back to a gmail address without rewriting the sender.  This works even worse under gsuite / google groups than it did under dreamhost.  Since these people are most probably not receiving emails, we want to try to get ahead of this problem.

PS: This is for a 501c3 and it is important that our board members receive all emails.

My only suggestion is to go to the admin console and under Reporting, use "Email log search".  I would do a "Custom search" and set the date range for your needs, keeping in mind Google will only let you look back thirty days for a general dump.  Click "Search".  Once you have the results you can click on the download icon and choose how you would like to get the results.  I'd probably just do an "Export to Google Sheets".  Once the spreadsheet opens you can filter on the "Event status" column for rejected, bounced, or refused.  You may need to experiment a bit.

Thanks Marshall. That was certainly eye-opening and there were a lot
more bounces and rejects than I had expected. Apparently our DKIM was
not correct and Yahoo (and probably Comcast too) were rejecting most
things.

Rick;

You are welcome.  Glad to help.

Getting a DKIM TXT record correct can be difficult.  DNS TXT records can hold anything, I've heard reports of small video clips, but the thing that trips people up is that strings can only be 255 long characters, max payload 65,535 characters (IETF RFC 1035), so you have to break your record into several strings, it's the calling client's responsibility to concatenate the strings.
