Hello,
I have a calendar that I want all teachers to be subscribed to. So far
they have to click an invitation link to do so.
Can I use GAM to set that all users of an organizational unit are
automatically subscribed to a specific calendar?
And can I set that this is also displayed?

Thanks for help
Micha

Micha;

I do this at the time a user account is created, although you can do it at any time.  You will need the calendar's id/email address before you start.  Once you have that it is a simple matter to add the calendar to a user's calendar list.  Off hand I don't think there is a way to find a calendar by name, so you'll need to either open the specific calendar settings and locate the id/email address, or show all of the calendars for a user that you know already has access to the calendar, then copy the  "Calendar:" attribute from that list.  With Advanced GAM it would look like this:

gam user <some user> show calendars
You will then need to pick through the dump to find the calendar of interest  and the "Calendar" attribute for the next command.

This is how to do it with Advance GAM:
gam user <UserEmail> add calendar <calendar email address>

If there's an easier method I'm not sure what it is.

Micha,

You can also once share the Calendar with the staff group, which you add all new staff users to when you create them.
Then just use the second command Marsh showed you, to make sure it's listed among their calendars.

gam user <UserEmail> add calendar <calendar email address>

It should actually work automatically, without any second action from you.
All new users in the group should get an invitation email to the calendar, which they of course have to accept to add to their list.

That's a great suggestion.

No, all NEW users unfortunately do not get this email, but only the
users who are in the group at this time of the release get the email.
Therefore I had asked for a command with which I can automatically
subscribe to the calendar.

gam group <group-mail> add calendar <calender-id> selected true

does its job, but only if there are no other groups in the group.
I have groups of groups of users. That is why I started a new thread.

Micha,

With Advanced GAM you can do:
gam group_users <group-mail> recursive end add calendar <calender-id> selected true

Is it possible to search for terms in the WIKI? I can never find what
I'm looking for on my own.

Yes, github has built-in search.
And wiki is one of the choices out to the left, so you don't have to see the hits from the actual code.
