Hello,

Long-time lurker, first time posting a question. While running a couple of report commands, I noticed that theĀ accounts:disabled_time field is empty for some disabled users, but not all of them. Not a huge deal, but I am curious to know why this is the case. Not sure if it's a Google thing or a process issue on our side. I appreciate the help.Ā

Best,
Chad

Do report it, Chad, and refer to my case 38716464.

I've been pushing for a fix since April 2022.
Last date I know of where the information is still available is early May 2021. So over a year of data is missing.

The data exists! It's just not available via the API, where it used to be.

I've added a local workaround to manage this data by using the "keyword" option when I suspend an account, and then clear it when I restore them.Ā  Unfortunately it doesn't account for users whose status isn't changed by my programs, but accounts for the majority of them.

gam update user $gusername suspended on keyword custom suspendedon "$today"Ā

gam user $gusername update user suspended off keyword clear

which shows up when you do a "gam info user xxx" as -

...

Ā  Keywords:

Ā  Ā  type: custom

Ā  Ā  Ā  customType: suspendedon

Ā  Ā  Ā  value: 2022-08-10

Ā  Organizations:

Ā  Ā Ā type: school

According to my support case agent, the devs have said that they fixed it by the 9th of August, but when I tested, I couldn't get any data.

Since reports have a couple of days delay, my test report today said 7th of August. So perhaps the data will appear on Friday.

I tested this this morning and seemed to get recent data back from some, but not all, accounts I queried. So something has changed for the better. I'm making an assumption that things may improve over the next few days. . . as things potentially 'roll out'. . . (if that how it works). Will test again next week.

(I was told thatĀ  "that a fix has been pushed to production and support cases notifiedĀ on AugustĀ 9th. Typically changes get picked up on a Monday, so please ask the customer to try and recreate the issue next week ")

Thank you for the workaround, Dan.Ā

Same situation, Kim.

Appreciate the update, Neil. Fingers crossed for the changes to hit next week.Ā

PROGRESS!

I can now see dates up until 2021-09-05, which is four months more than before.

I had an update from our support people that this was due to be resolved last week (updates seem to get pushed on Mondays), however it still wasn't working for us at the end of last week BUT. . .. . it is working for me this morning. Yay!

I can now see disabled dates as recent as 18th September 2022! :-)

gam config csv_output_row_filter "accounts.is_suspended:boolean:true" report user user all parameters accounts:is_suspended,accounts:disabled_reason
