I just ran the gam oauth info (for the first time in years) and noticed this:

Expires: 2021-05-18T09:34:40.677807

Are these tokens temporary, or is this really going to expire permanently? When I login to Google's Developer console, I don't see an expiration date on the client id. Is there a document that gives an overview of the technology behind these tokens?

Yes, this is when the access token expires (which is an hour after it was issued) but as long as GAM has a valid refresh token it can just grab a new access token. I should probably clarify that in the language. PRs welcome :-)

I ran the command because of the new announcement from Google:

OAuth 2.0 Access Token Size for Google Cloud Platform Customers

We are running GAM 5.04 - are we impacted by this change by Google?

No, you should not be. GAM and the underlying libraries it uses really don't care about the sizes of the access token they use and store. Still if you're curious you can go ahead and opt in to the trial period to confirm. Google will notify you if it notices GAM is clipping the access tokens short.

Hi,
Any idea how to know if the refresh token is still valid?

If

gam oauth info is returning those details and not an error, the refresh token is valid.

If it is not, what do I do to get a valid token?
