Hello,

I have a shared folder that contains files from many users. This folder was created before shared drives was a thing and now, we are thinking about converting it into a shared drive.

The content of the folder is all over and has several Gb of files owned by multiple users.

I would like to transform the folder and all its contents into a shared drive.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Thank you very much

Assuming that all of the folks that created files are within your organization, you don’t need GAM to do the move—you can just drag-and-drop the folder. See the "Move folders into shared drives as an admin” section of https://support.google.com/a/answer/7374057 for details.

Hope that helps,

Ian
