Unusual add drivefileacl error

Hi, folks,

     So I've been trying to transfer ownership of a file to someone and hit this error:

"Add Failed: The action cannot be performed on an item of mime-type: application/vnd.google-apps.shortcut"

     That one's new to me. Do I have to try to chase the shortcut to the actual file?

John,

You can't do much to shortcuts except display and delete them. In the API they don't translate to mean the actual file.

If you do a show fileinfo on it you'll get the id of the actual file.
