Gam Adding teacher to classroom error

I have a csv with two columns, id and email. when I run thefollowing command

gam csv all_active_courses.csv gam course ~id add teacher ~email

I get the following error

Add Failed: Not Allowed

how do I fix this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ross,

I worked out the problem. It appears that if you have the teacher in archived classes, which I do, it counts them in allowed capacity. Once I removed the teacher from the archived classes all worked.
