Okay I am sure this has already been asked but I couldn't find it in the forum.
Scenario = User A owns a folder in their drive, with many nested files and subfolders. I would like to remove User A's access from the entire folder and transfer the entire contents of the folder to a shared drive. I thought I had it figured out with the simple command of:
gam user {user email address} move drivefile {file or folder ID} teamdriveparentid {team drive ID}
I ran into issues with files that were shared to the user , where it threw up permissions errors and failed the move. I also ran into issues that if the person isn't a manager of the team drive, I couldn't move the files into it.
This may not be feasible or even able to be done cleanly. I am prepared to restore the files from backup to my drive, then move them to the shared drive, but I still need to remove access for the entire content of the folder from the user's drive.
Thanks,
Darin
