Hello,

There is an account where google data is transferred too when a user is deleted. I am looking for a way to transfer a specific folder from that archive account into another user account. All of this while keeping the shared users of the file intact.
I know I can take ownership of a folder from the archive account and give it to another user, but it does not copy the files into that user.

Is there a way to data transfer a specific folder from the archive account and transfer the ownership to the new user at the same time?
Thanks for the help.

The way I currently do it to change ownership:
gam user arc...@domain.org print filelist query "title contains 'fol...@domain.org'" title id
#copy ID
#0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxnM
gam user arc...@domain.org transfer ownership 0xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxnM user...@domain.org

Thanks for the response. This is what I did but something did not go right. For a test I transferred over a folder to the archive account and then transferred it back to the user. When I transfer it back to the user I get the folder back but no contents inside. In the archive account it shows the folder and the file have transferred ownership. If I did something wrong let me know.

#Find the Folder ID
gam user user...@domain.org show filelist query "title = 'GAMT...@domain.org'" title id
Folder ID - 15kJXd3gRZlIec5ibQfeiGIRPDzlrKqm8
File - anao

#Transfer the folder
gam user user...@domain.org transfer drive arc...@domain.org select 15kJXd3gRZlIec5ibQfeiGIRPDzlrKqm8
Folder moved to garchive user #If there is content that someone owns it looks like it copies it

#Find the Folder ID
gam user arc...@domain.org show filelist query "title = 'GAMT...@domain.org'" title id
Folder ID - 15kJXd3gRZlIec5ibQfeiGIRPDzlrKqm8
File - anao

#Transfer folder back to user
gam user arc...@domain.org transfer drive user...@domain.org select 15kJXd3gRZlIec5ibQfeiGIRPDzlrKqm8
