Hi,

I have an issue where I cannot execute some GAM7 commands but my coworkers can. We all have GAM setup to the same GCP project with the necessary APIs enabled. The only difference we can find is they are super admins and I'm not. But we want me to be able to perform the below commands without having super admin.

For example, I get the following error when I try the following commands:

Commands:
gam info shareddrive ""
gam user "" add drivefileacl "" user "" role editor
Error:

User: , Drive API v3 Service/App not enabled

Its not just for Drive, it happens with Gmail too:

Command:

gam user "" print messages countsonly

Error:

User: , Gmail API Service/App not enabled

I have access in the GUI to find a shared drive and add members to it. So it doesn't seem to be an issue with role permissions.

Thanks,

Alec

Hi Ross,

Thanks for your quick response and willingness to help. We added the service account ID to domain wide delegation with the drive scope and it fixed it. So we are all good now.

Thanks,
Alec
