Please pardon my ignorance. I'm completely new to this and trying to
learn as I go.

I have primary domain of mydomain.org and student.mydomain.org setup
for my school district.

All of my students are listed under user...@student.mydomain.org

When I setup gam I setup my primary domain during the getting started
part and everything appears to be working.

I have managed to use GAM to create a group called
tea...@student.mydomain.org

Maybe this can't be done and I just missed that in my search, but I
can not add users to the subdomain group. If I create the group in
the primary domain it works just fine adding users from both
domains.

Does NOT work
gam update group cl...@student.fchs77.org add member
na...@student.fchs77.org

Works
gam update group cl...@fchs77.org add member na...@student.fchs77.org
and
gam update group class add member na...@student.fchs77.org

Hi,

I am using GAM 2.3.1 and the scenario you describe does seem to work

$ gam create group te...@student.testdomain.com name test description test
Group Name:  test
Email Permission:  Owner
Description:  test

Are you using the latest version of GAM?

Received the following from Jeff, posting it here for completeness:

Yes I am using 2.3.1.  I tried it again this morning and it's working!  I basically started over by deleting the group and recreating it.  Maybe I had the group setup incorrectly and that's why
it couldn't add the group.

Either way, thanks for verifying that I what I wanted to do, could be done.
